At 77 years old, Ric Flair is still teasing having one final match. A former WWE star is willing to come out of retirement to fulfill The Nature Boy’s wish if he’s serious about it.
During a recent live stream, Flair teased the possibility of another retirement match against Ricky Morton. On the latest episode of his YouTube Show, Stevie Richards is open to the idea and will come out of his own retirement to face Flair.
Thanks for the submission!
« I’ll give you my selfish pie in the sky theory once again, since we’re kind of in the clouds talking about the match I had when I’m there. You know, right now, I can hardly walk with my back or any of that stuff. I will come out of retirement and wrestle Ric Flair in his last match. Especially since it’s more of a current thing, especially with the clips we talk about and everything. It could be not nostalgia, but to shut this young guy up type thing, » Richards said. Since losing to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24 in a Career Threatening Match, Ric Flair has wrestled multiple times over the years. He also confirmed that he’s not coming out of retirement.
The 54-year-old Stevie Richards, on the other hand, has only faced Flair once in his career on the July 8, 2002 episode of Raw.
Ric Flair suffered heart attack in his last match
Ric Flair’s last match happened on July 31, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee. He teamed up with Andrade to beat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett in the main event.
Speaking on the JAXXON PODCAST in 2024, Flair opened up about his final match. He revealed that he lost consciousness twice during the match and even suffered a heart attack.
« I had a heart attack in the match. I didn’t know myself until about six months ago. I go to the heart doctor every six months because I got the pacemaker, and they put that on me when I was real sick, not because I had a problem with my heart, » Flair said. [H/T Fightful]
Flair added that he didn’t even feel the heart attack and thought it was just dehydration. He has had other serious health issues over the years, but he has since recovered and remains active on social media.
