PBKS vs LSG Highlights, IPL 2026: 3 moments that generated a buzz among fans in Match 29 ft. Arshdeep Singh

Punjab Kings (PBKS) extended their unbeaten run in IPL 2026 with a dominant 54-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday, April 19. LSG won the toss and chose to field first at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.

Mohammad Shami made early inroads, removing PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh for a golden duck in the first over. Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly put the home team in a commanding position with a 182-run stand off 80 balls for the second wicket.

Arya missed out on a well-deserved century, departing after a stunning 93 off 37, while Connolly finished with 87 off 46. PBKS posted 254/7 in 20 overs, registering the highest total of the season. Pacer Prince Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with his 2/25 in four overs.

Rishabh Pant (43 off 23) and Aiden Markram (42 off 22) played quick-fire knocks in the run chase. However, it wasn’t enough as the Lucknow-based side managed 200/5 after 20 overs. Marco Jansen bagged two wickets for Punjab.

With five wins and one no result after six matches, PBKS are placed at the top of the IPL 2026 points table. LSG, on the other hand, are eighth after winning two out of six games.

Here, we look at three moments from the high-scoring affair that generated a buzz among the fans.

#3 Rishabh Pant clears the ropes with trademark one-handed six

LSG skipper Rishabh Pant struck two consecutive sixes off Marco Jansen’s bowling in the seventh over. The left-arm pacer bowled a full delivery on the fourth ball.

The southpaw pounced on it and slammed it for a maximum over long-on. Jansen followed it with a slower one. Pant came down the track and hit a huge one-handed six down the ground.

#2 Aiden Markram concedes five sixes as PBKS score 32 runs in an over

Rishabh Pant brought part-time off-spinner Aiden Markram into the attack in the 13th over with two left-handed batters at the crease. However, the move backfired for LSG as both Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly launched an onslaught.

Connolly began the over with a hat-trick of sixes to put Markram under tremendous pressure. It was followed by a wide and a single. There was no respite for the bowler as Arya hit two consecutive sixes to make it a 32-run over.

#1 Arshdeep Singh is unimpressed with Shashank Singh’s brain-fade moment

Arshdeep Singh bowled a full delivery outside the off stump to Aiden Markram in the 18th over of the LSG innings. The South African batter played a lofted drive towards the sweeper cover.

He didn’t seem to have got enough distance on the lofted shot, and there was a chance of a catch in the deep. However, Shashank Singh completely misjudged. He stood near the boundary ropes, watching the ball land on the boundary cushions without attempting a catch.

Arshdeep was visibly unhappy with Shashank’s brain fade, and even PBKS head coach Ricky Ponting was not impressed and got up from his chair in the dugout. Watch the video:
