In 2024, Chelsea Green tweeted that she was kicked out of a hotel based on how she was dressed, and the security mistook her for an escort. The story went viral as it occurred around WrestleMania 40, and The Hot Mess has addressed it on different occasions.

In an appearance on A Shot of Brandi, the two-time United States Champion detailed what went down when she and Maxxine Dupri walked into the hotel. During this, Green stated that the former Women’s Intercontinental Champion was also subjected to a similar thing, but she never spoke about it.
Moreover, the 34-year-old WWE star revealed that someone from the hotel tried to help them, but this further infuriated the bouncers and confirmed their suspicion of both WWE stars being escorts.
« I was with Maxxine (Dupri), and we go in. [Did Maxxine get kicked out, too?] Yes, but she was so sweet that she never spoke up about it. So know that everything that happened with me also happened with Maxxine… Then a hotel guest comes through and sees this is happening and says to the bouncers, ‘No, they’re fine. They can come and have a drink at the bar. I’ll let them in. I’m staying.’ That’s when they go nuts. So then he really thinks we’re escorts. Earlier this year, Chelsea Green entered the year as a double champion. However, the run ended when she lost the WWE Women’s United States Championship to Giulia. Later, she got injured, which forced AAA to put her title on the line without her competing.
