The most popular used cars in Israel in 2025

Yad2’s data for 2025 compared to 2024 shows almost stubborn stability at the top of the rankings. Toyota Corolla and Kia Sportage hold the first positions. At the same time, noticeable changes occur in the middle of the list. Kia Picanto and Hyundai Tucson are strengthening their positions. Mitsubishi Outlander and Toyota Land Cruiser are losing buyer interest. Two new cars are in the top 20 for the first time. There is a clear trend behind the dry numbers. Demand for expensive-to-maintain models is declining. Interest in reliable and familiar cars is growing.

When Israelis choose between a new car and a used one, they answer a simple question. Something you can rely on. In 2025, the used car market gives a clear answer. Amid discounts and price fluctuations in the new car segment, the top searches on Yad2 remain stable. Individual shifts indicate a change in habits. Buyers are increasingly less likely to choose heavy and expensive models. They often look at economical and proven options. Electric cars and Chinese brands have not yet become the standard choice.

The market is gradually moving from sellers to buyers. The supply is growing. Discounts on new cars appear already at the start of sales. Yad2 reflects the opposite picture. People looking for a used car don’t follow trends. They choose models with a reputation. Reliability and reasonable long-term maintenance costs are important to them.

In 2025, the Toyota Corolla takes first place again. The Nissan Qashqai, which was in the top 20 in 2024, disappears from the list. This indicates slow but steady change. Mazda 6 also falls out of the ranking. But the Honda Civic returns to the top 20. The line between large and prestigious and practical and profitable is becoming clearer.

Competition in the market is intensifying. The number of models is growing. This strengthens the position of buyers and puts pressure on real prices. An important role is played by the large volume of zero-mileage cars sold at discounts. When a new car becomes cheaper, a used one looks less attractive. In this situation, buyers cling even more tightly to familiar brands. They think about how easy it will be to sell the car in the future.

Electric vehicles have a particularly difficult time in the aftermarket. The sites are crowded with cars with zero mileage. Importers offer discounts. Technologies are developing quickly. A model two or three years ago already seems outdated. This accelerates the decline in value. Many buyers prefer to choose Corolla or Picanto again. They don’t want to take risks with a format that is too new.

Compared to 2024, there are few changes at the top of the ranking. Toyota Corolla retains first place. Kia Sportage remains confidently second. The Kia Picanto moves up one spot to third place. Hyundai Tucson rises two positions at once and becomes fourth. Mazda 3 continues to rise and takes fifth place.

In the second top five, the Skoda Octavia loses one position and falls to sixth place. Toyota RAV4 moves up one spot to seventh. The most noticeable drop is in the Mitsubishi Outlander. The model loses five positions at once and takes eighth place. Hyundai Ioniq retains ninth place. The Mazda CX-5 remains unchanged in tenth place.

The second top ten is opened by Seat Ibiza. The model rises one position and takes 11th place. Hyundai i10 drops one place to 12th. Toyota Yaris retains 13th place. Toyota C-HR moves up two positions to 14th. Honda Civic returns to the rankings and takes 15th place.

Hyundai i20 moves up two places to 16th. Mazda 2 also gains two positions and takes 17th place. The Skoda Superb loses one position and falls to 18th. Toyota Land Cruiser plummets. The model loses five places and ends up in 19th place. The top 20 is completed by the Suzuki Crossover. The model is included in the rating for the first time.
